Jake graduated from Terra Linda High and joined the band "One" in Bolinas, CA. In 1971, One was discovered by Paul Kantner and Grace Slick, who promptly signed them to Jefferson Airplane's new label, "Grunt Records". One toured extensively with "Hot Tuna" and many others. From 1976-78, Jake sang and played drums for local Marin Club band "Cyclone". From 1978-86, Jake opened and operated "Rolls Recording" 16 track studio, recording for Bruce Becvar, KBC, demos for Huey Lewis, and many others. Jake mastered Bill Graham board mixes for nearly every live show he had ever done. From 1987-91, Jake formed and managed cover band "Executive Decision". After a break from music to remodel and sell real estate, in 2007 Jake returned to music, including house band at Sweetwater. Jake is the newest member of Nightsage, having joined in September 2008, and we are thrilled to have him on board for both recording and live performance. |
